We had 13 Model A's and a '56 T-bird travel the hilly back roads through Labadie Mo. onto Washington Mo. on a beautiful fall day. Gary Puellmann led the group to our first stop which was the Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob Pipe Company that started business in 1869. After a very interesting tour of their museum, the group ended up at Cowans Restaurant for a very satisfying meal. Cowans has been in business for over 50 years and is famous for their wonderful pies. Following lunch, we all traveled down to the Missouri River for some group photos by Gene Cogorno. Our last stop was at the Washington Historical Society History Museum with lots of interesting artifacts and exhibits for all to enjoy.
Larry Shepard led a group of 14 Model A's and a '52 ? Ford pick-up through windy and hilly roads in St. Louis and Jefferson Counties to arrive at the Sandy Creek covered bridge (one of 4 remaining in the State of MO) built in 1872. A delicious lunch was enjoyed by all at the Russell House Restaurant in Hillsboro, MO.
First 4 Model A's to show up along with a lost Pony
